Martin is a pioneer of both the asset management and stockbroking industries in Botswana. He started his career as a Research Analyst at the Bank of Botswana before joining Stockbrokers Botswana at inception as Head of Dealing. He would later move on to join Investec Asset Management Botswana, again at its very early stages as a Portfolio Manager. Martin would later go back to the stockbroking industry by setting up Investec Securities Botswana for the Investec Group as the Founding Managing Director. In 2000, Martin and his family acquired this business from the Investec Group and renamed it Motswedi Securities. He currently serves as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Motswedi Securities, as well as that of Motswedi Securities Lesotho.
